The Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Utah Mammoth Monday January 26th, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET. The Lightning enter Monday's game 32-14-4 placing them in 2nd place of the Atlantic Division. The Mammoth enter 27-20-4 on the season putting them in 4th place of the Central Division.
The Lightning last played the Mammoth on November 2nd where the Lightning came out victorious in that matchup. The Lightning were playing really good the last time both of these teams squared up against each other. The Lightning come off a 8-5 loss against the Blue Jackets, and the Mammoth come off a 5-2 win against the Predators.
The Utah Mammoth have some really good talent on their team who are going to be really good players in this league. Clayton Keller is a guy who will be representing Team USA at the Milan Olympics. In my opinion, it’s about time that he’s getting the recognition that he deserves since the days of the Arizona Coyotes. Keller had 90 points last season on a team that wasn’t projected to be anywhere close to contender status in the crowded Central Division. Dylan Guenther is another guy who is a legit goal scorer for the Mammoth who only scored 27 goals last year due to missing some time to injury. He has 24 goals this year in January, is well on his way to passing that stat line from a year ago. Logan Cooley is another guy on this team who’s going to become a very special player for them now and the future. They added another guy to their lineup in the offseason in JJ Peterka who year after year consistently gets better offensively. He’s a really good young player for the Mammoth.

There will be several changes to both teams lineups since the first meeting of the season. The Lightning and Mammoth will be without the following players in Monday night’s game:
Lightning
Brayden Point (Lower Body)
Victor Hedman (elbow)
Ryan Mcdonagh (Lower Body)
Max Crozier (illness)
Gage Goncalves (undisclosed) Day to Day
Erik Cernak (Upper Body) Day to Day
Charle Edouard D’Astous (Lower Body) Day to Day
Mammoth
Logan Cooley (Lower Body)
The Goaltending should be different this time with Andrei Vasilevskiy being in for Tampa Bay Monday night in Tampa. Vasilevskiy will enter Monday's game with a 22-7 record , a .918 save percentage, and a 2.13 goals against average. The Mammoth will most likely have Karel Vejmelka in net against the Lightning. Vejmelka is 25-11 on the season with a .901 save percentage and a 2.57 goals against average.
