The last time both sides played was back on October 13th. The Lightning would go on to win this game while in the middle of a slump . The Lightning dominated this game in Boston and the teams depth was put to the test and passed with flying colors. Pontus Holmberg had himself a fantastic game in Boston.

The Bruins are a good team with some good players on their team, and some players that the Lightning are very familiar with in previous seasons. David Pastrnak is the best player on the Bruins without a question and is one of the best goal scorers in the league. What’s so underrated about Pastrnak is fans think he’s only a goal scorer but he’s also a fantastic playmaker for the Bruins. Jeremy Swayman is a guy who confuses me because he can either be very good when he’s on or he can be brutal in net for the Bruins. Charlie Mcavoy is an absolute fantastic defenseman for them. Morgan Geekie is another guy on this team that sticks out particularly for his rocket of a shot that enters 3rd in the league with 30 goals on the season. Tanner Jeannot and Mikey Eyssimont who played for the Lightning now are on the Bruins.

There will be several changes to both teams lineups since the first meeting of the season. The Lightning and Bruins will be without the following players in Sunday night’s game:

Lightning

  • Brayden Point (Lower Body)

  • Charle Edourard D’Astous (Lower Body)

  • Emil Lilleberg (undisclosed)

Bruins

  • Elias Lindholm (Upper Body)

  • Pavel Zacha (Upper Body)

The goaltending in tomorrow’s game should be different compared to the previous meeting. Andrei Vasilevskiy will be in net for the Lightning with an impressive record of 24-7 .921 save percentage and a 2.04 goals against average. Jeremy Swayman should get the start for the Bruins who is 22-12 , a .904 save percentage, and a 2.87 goals against average between the pipes for the Bruins this season.
