The Lightning versus the Bruins was up there for the greatest outdoor game in NHL history. This game was all over the place from the very beginning for both teams playing in this game at Raymond James Stadium.
The Lightning would would get on the board first in this game. It only took the Lightning 11 seconds to score in the first period. Brandon Hagel scored his 26th of the season assisted by Nikita Kucherov and Darren Raddysh. Nikita Kucherov now extends his point streak to 8 straight games. The Bruins would take control of this by tying the game with Alex Steeve scoring his 9th of the season assisted by Mikey Eyssimont. Morgan Geekie would add his 31st of the season assisted by Charlie Mcavoy and Jonathon Aspirot. Viktor Arvidsson would add his 14th of the season assisted by Charlie Mcavoy and Morgan Geekie. The Bruins would take a 3-1 lead into the second period of this game. It started great for the Bolts, but went to absolute shit from the Hagel goal.
The Bruins continued where they left off in the 1st period of this game by adding more goals. Matthew Poitras would add his 1st of the season assisted by Mark Kastelic. Morgan Geekie would add his 2nd goal of the game and 32 on the season for the Bruins. David Pastrnak and Marat Khusnutdinov would pick up the assists on the Geekie goal to put the Bruins up 5-1 in the 2nd period of the game. The Lightning were truly in one where the going to have to chip at this thing one goal at a time. The Lightning would do exactly that with Oliver Bjorkstrand grabbing his 8th goal of the season assisted by Brandon Hagel and Jake Guentzel on the power play with 9:32 remaining in the period. In my opinion what gave the boys a spark was Andrei Vasilevskiy getting into a fight with Jeremy Swayman.
The Lightning were a completely different after the Vasilevskiy fight, by Darren Raddysh scoring his 16th goal of the season assisted by Nikita Kucherov and Brandon Hagel. Nikita Kucherov and Brandon Hagel now registered another multi point game this season. The Lightning were trailing 5-3 with 4:10 remaining after the Raddysh goal, until Nick Paul would score his 6th of the season assisted by Jake Guentzel and Nikita Kucherov. The Lightning now trailed the Bruins 5-4 going into the final period of regulation.
Nikita Kucherov would score his 4th point of the game by grabbing his 28th of the season assisted by Ryan Mcdonagh and Erik Cernak. It’s pretty impressive to how this team came all the way back into this game. The Bruins and Lightning would by heading to a shootout where Jake Guentzel secured the victory with the game on his stick for the Lightning.

The following players in tonight’s game played out of their minds:
Nikita Kucherov - 1 goal 3 assists
Brandon Hagel - 1 goal 2 assists
Morgan Geekie - 2 goals 1 assist
Jake Guentzel - 2 assists and the game winner
Darren Raddysh - 1 goal and 1 assist

The Tampa Bay Lightning will now face Tage Thompson and the Buffalo Sabres in Tampa Bay on Tuesday February 3rd at 7:30 PM ET.
